SYNOPSIS
dnscname
fqdn
DESCRIPTION
dnscame
takes the given
fqdn
for a host and employs an one-stage
CNAME
DNS lookup for
fqdn.
The retrieved DNS name could instead be an alias,
rather than a canonical name.
Use
dnsfq
to evaluate the entire
CNAME
chain.
EXIT CODES
dnscname
return
0
on success,
1
in case no CNAME was found, and
111
in case of memory errors.
